David Gandy for Christian Grey!

Whilst watching the London Olympics 2012 closing ceremony the other night, the arrival of David Gandy and the rest of the British beauties had my head in a spin. Not only because of the amazing clothes but for the pure fact that David Gandys smile is enough to make me go dizzy. Which led my train of thought to this book I've been reading, "fifty shades of grey"- I dunno if you've heard of it? Yes well, there is this main character called "Christian Grey" who is meant to be an Adonis of a man, incredibly successful therefore cray rich, smart, clever, mysterious, totally knows how to fuck but at the same time is really intense and possessive. Whenever I read it and the main chick 'Ana' is all "his body and intense stare makes my sex throb" I try to come up with a guy hot enough to meet his description in my head. Makes the book so much more enjoyable. So far I've recruited Ryan Gosling and uh...I can't really remember who else, to star as Mr. Grey in my mind. Problem is, I think Ryan's too light haired to be Christian. I need someone more dark, rugged and perhaps with slight laughter lines around the eyes/mouth (you know how guys look hotter with age?). And then, as the British models exploded onto my screen at the fashiony part of the closing ceremony and I caught glimpse of David Gandys cheeky grin- it hit me! He is Christian Grey. Well, not really, but he is my Christian Grey. Aaah, the books are going to be SO much better now.

I don't understand why but if you need some persuasion into seeing where I'm coming from, I made some memes out of month images from a Dolce & Gabbana Calendar Dave did back in 2008 to make my point clear:

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did. And I totes don't mind if you use him as your Christian Grey too. But he loves me. Not you.

Kisses!

BEST PART BEST PART of the Olympic 2012 Closing Ceremony

So you all caught the best moment of the closing ceremony last night right? The part when Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lily Cole, Karen Elson, Lily Donaldson, Georgia May Jagger, Stella Tennant, Jourdan Dunn and David Gandy exploded out of 8 black trucks and blew out an air of cool across the whole stadium? If you don't know what I'm talking about then we can never be friends. It was glorious. It was a moment that reinforces the fact fashion really does it for me and I'm doing the right thing by aiming to be a part of the industry. It was also a moment that made me insanely proud to be British and showed that we might be a kinda tiny part of the globe, but we can fucking own it not only in the sporting field (you were all kinds of amazing Team GB) but in the fashion world too.

Let's have a look at the British hotness draped in the hottest British threads.

We'll start with Kate cause well, it's Kate.

She wore a sequined, floor length Alexander McQueen dress and Alexander McQueen wedges. LOVE. Although that's no surprise as it is McQueen and he could never do any wrong in my fashion books and nor can Sarah now.

Lily Donaldson shone in a Vivienne Westwood dress paired with Sergio Rossi heels. Very classic Westwood and not very risky but I think it's worked well as a representation of the fashion house through the Olympic ceremony.

Karen Elson represented Burberry in a dazzling high low style gold dress paired with Jimmy Choos and Butler & Wilson earrings and bracelets. Stunning, and those legs turn me green!

Georgia May Jagger wore a (slightly controversial) Victoria Beckham dress, accessorised with amazing Giuseppe Zanotti heels, a Stella McCartney belt and Ca and Lou earrings. I get why some people are a bit pissy that Vicky B has been placed alongside some of fashions greats and I'm in no doubt that she got to the position she's in a LOT easier than others would have but fuck it, she was a spice girl, she's chic, she's British and I reckon she puts a lot of effort into her clothing line.

Stella Tennant was dressed by Christopher Kane in a Swarovski Crystal trouser suit paired with Christian Louboutin boots. So androgynous. So fitting to the David Bowie intro.

Lily Cole looked the quintessential English Rose in a beautiful Erdem dress and Charlotte Olympia heels. I want to wear this and run through a poppy field!

Jourdan Punn was accompanied by David Gandy (LUCKY) wearing a Jonathan Saunders dress and a Stephen Jones gold feather headdress. Perhaps the most beautiful man on earth wore a Paul Smith suit and tie. If I dye my hair blonde and join the Saturdays will you give me a chance Dave?

And now, I saved the best for last!

Naomi Campbell looked FUCKING AMAZING in a meticulously embellished Alexander McQueen dress with a train like gold dust that flowed behind her as she strutted down the runway. Her curved wedges were of course also McQueen. Absolutely breathtaking, I couldn't wait to watch her entrance over again as soon as I saw it. Sarah Burton has truly proved herself in the last few years and I'm sure Lee would be proud!

And if you noticed that font on the photoshoot images looked familiar, it's because they are images from the September 2012 issue of British Vogue. The September issue is always a must but this one is a mega must as the Olympic 2012 input will be sure to make it an iconic issue. Grab it now before they run out!

Pssst, it looks like this:

Bad Blood Clothing/ Nick Cocozza YO.

A while back, I got a friend request on faceyB from someone called "Bad Blood Clothing", so after the obvious clicking through photos/ info/ mutual friends I decided I'd be their pal as they seemed pretty cool...plus my inner hipster/ scene kid was doing jumps of joy (not physically of course, but in her head) cause some cool fashion label had actually added me and not just responded to my friend request.

So automatically they won cool points for feeding my ego (which I always enjoy) but also cause the illustrations I was greeted with were pretty fucking sweet. After further investigation, it was my turn to click the "+1 add friend" button to the man behind it all, Mr Nick Cocozza. I wanted to find out a bit more about the illustrator/ designer and how Bad Blood Clothing came to be and I thought doing so would help me out. He was nice enough to not reject me for being a massive creeper and thus- the stalking commenced!

From what my stalking talents have worked out, Nick studied illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee before setting up camp overseas in Berlin, Germany where he is now head honcho at Bad Blood Clothing. He's also got a few freelance illustration jobs under his belt with a couple of magazines, has teamed up with Dynamic-Style Clothing for a collaboration of printed tees and has had his work shown in a few art exhibitions too.

I've picked my faves from his work outside Bad Blood Clothing below for you to have a wee sneaky look at:

Pretty cool, huh? You can find more of Mr. Cocozzas artwork on his website and blogspot.

Now back to Bad Blood Clothing, where you can purchase a little piece of his artwork to cut about looking cool in. Choose from an awesome selection of t-shirt designs ranging from everything you ever loved as a 90's kid...

...to pretending you're gangsta...

...right through to zombies chasing you for a cup of tea.

There's a shit load more to choose from and seeing as the guy can't seem to put the pencil down, there are new designs being added constantly. Have a gander at the rest of the tees and products here.

Also, if you're guy with impressive tattoos or just kinda hot- wearing these products will magically make you even fitter. As you can see from my hot man montage below:

Like, I might even fancy you just cause you're wearing cool clothes. I'm THAT shallow.

And now, I will leave you with a few pictures of me in my own Bad Blood Clothing tee, I kinda love it.

Stop laughing at me trying to do the "LA" thing!

Krush baby!

Like my last entry, I will begin my first sentence with an apology of how lame I've been with the whole "update my blog loads" thing. Although, I don't feel quite as guilty, as my blogging efforts haven't completely went down hill but rather they've stretched their little wings. That's right, I now have a cheeky wee blogging job for an up-and-coming high street clothing company called Krush.

Go. Me.

But enough self-congratulation, let's have a wee chat about Krush! The company is run by young entrepreneurs who ultimately aim to give you the hottest fashion trends at fantastic value for money  with great emphasise on customer satisfaction. The guys who run it are really cool and you can tell they have so much enthusiasm for their company and it's aims. And in order to help it grow further, they have launched their own website (today in fact-woo!), which means you can now browse and buy all the latest trends without the inconvenience of actually having to leave your bed (which is always a good shout if you ask me).

And that's where I come in (no, not in your bed. creep), after recently meeting up with the guys, getting shown around their Motherwell store and chatting to some of the lovely staff there, I was asked if I could whip up a blog entry as soon as I could so they could see if my chat was any good. Apparently it was half decent as they then asked me to write up information and style advice on all the categories for their brand spanking new website and update the websites blog frequently. So I happily did and you can view it here by clicking on any clothing category then zooming down to the bottom of the page to read my style advice for it. You can also read the first entry of the blog here if you fancy seeing how well I can match a few of Tulisa Contostavlos looks for your summer holidays :)

Lucky Edge Decks Yo!

Sooo a while back my friend Joe Edge set up his own label wittily named "Lucky Edge Decks" that makes super cool and 100% originally illustrated tees, decks, sweatshirts and hats. That same while back was when I put an order in for one of his illustrated tees that I kind of fell in love with as soon as he showed me the original sketch. Unfortunately, being a student really gets in the way of supporting new talent and my path to looking the part as a fashion wank. Which meant sadly I had to put the order on hold until I had enough money to eat AND look cool *uuuuh*. Anyway! Thankfully that day finally arrived when the pennies started rolling in in a little more abundance over the summer holidays and I am pleased to now show you *coughshowoff* my purchase. Let me guide you through my Lucky Edge Decks experience through my amazing photography:

After opening up a super cute brown paper parcel with my name and address handwritten on the front, I came face-to-face with another super cute brown paper parcel wrapped in string (I LOVED the string, so old school) with the name and style of my tee handwritten on a sticker on the top left and a Lucky Edge Decks flyer slotted underneath the beloved string.

Here's a picture of it again but from a different angle. Just cause it's so pretty. And it's my blog. Therefore I can.

And here it is! My "Don't Rock My Boat" tee. I. Fucking. Love. It.

Also worth a wee showy-showy is the new Lucky Edge Decks label: really cute dog illustration + product that is designed AND printed in the UK (something which is impressive in itself) = WINNER.
